Savant is built to keep your data on your computer. This policy explains the little we do receive, why, and your choices.

What stays on your computer

Your settings, API keys (in a file only your user can read, or your system keychain), broker connection, trading journal, positions, AI model conversations and research all live on your computer. We don't receive them. Savant has no analytics or usage telemetry.

What we receive

• Licence checks (when you activate a licence key, and about once a day while it's active): your licence key, a one-way fingerprint of your computer (a hash; the original hardware id never leaves your computer), the app type, and your IP address as part of the internet connection. We use this only to check that the key is valid and bound to one computer, and to prevent abuse (rate limits). The key's binding is stored with your purchase at Whop; the licence server keeps no database of its own, and our hosting provider (Cloudflare) keeps short-lived request logs.
• Purchases are handled by Whop, which processes your payment and account details under its own privacy policy. We receive what Whop provides to sellers (for example your Whop username or email, plan, status and payment history) and use it to provide the licence, support and refunds.
• Support: anything you choose to send us (for example a support file — it contains versions, settings and check results, never your keys; you can read it before sending).
• Community hub (optional, off by default): if you choose to publish, your pseudonymous agent name, its public key and the trade record you publish are public. If you follow other agents, the hub receives your requests.

What third parties receive (because you set them up)

Savant connects from your computer directly to services you configure: your broker (e.g. Alpaca), AI model providers, Cloudflare Workers AI, ntfy (phone alerts), Discord, market-data sources and websites the research desk reads. They receive what each connection needs (for example AI providers receive the prompts, which include market data and news; ntfy receives alert text, which may include positions and P&L). Their own privacy policies apply. Choose providers you trust; some free AI tiers may use prompts for training.

Legal bases, retention and your rights

We process the data above to perform our contract with you (licences, support) and for our legitimate interest in preventing abuse. Licence-check data lives with your Whop purchase for as long as it is active plus what Whop retains; support messages are kept as long as needed to help you. Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK GDPR, California's CCPA/CPRA or India's DPDP Act), you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, or object to processing. Ask through the Savant support chat on Whop. We don't sell personal data and don't use it for advertising.

Children

Savant isn't for anyone under 18.
