Risk Disclosure
Read this before you connect a real-money account.
Savant is software that can place trades in your brokerage account automatically, without asking you first. That is the point of it, and it is also the risk.
- You can lose money, including everything in the connected account. Crypto-assets are especially volatile and can move 10% or more in hours; equities can gap overnight.
- Automation fails in its own ways. Software bugs, bad or late data, AI model errors, broker or network outages, rate limits, partial fills and slippage can all cause losses. A stop-loss is an instruction, not a guarantee: in a fast market or a gap the fill can be far worse than the stop.
- Protection has limits. Savant's hard limits (cash only, no margin, no shorting, a stop on every position, drawdown breakers, a kill switch) reduce some risks. They can't remove market risk, and some protections depend on the app running and the broker answering. For example, when the broker can't be reached, Savant can't place or move orders; some equity stops rest only during market hours and are watched by the app otherwise.
- Past results don't predict future ones. Demo, paper and backtest results — and anything shown on the website — are simulations. Real fills, fees and slippage differ. A paper record, even a long one, is not proof of a future edge.
- AI is a juror, not an oracle. The models that argue each case can be wrong, overconfident, inconsistent, or influenced by the text they read. Savant's code sizes every trade and enforces every limit, but the decision to trade starts from model judgements.
- You're in charge of the switch. Real-money trading only starts after you ratify it twice in the app. Before you do, Savant shows you its paper graduation check. It is a warning, not a lock: you can ratify before the paper record passes, and doing so means accepting more uncertainty.
- Only trade money you can afford to lose. Savant is not financial advice. Consider talking to a licensed adviser, and check the tax treatment where you live.
By turning on real-money trading you confirm you've read and understood this disclosure.
